A Plus account is required to sell your artwork on The Arte. Here you can subscribe to Premium .
You can only sell your own original artwork on The Arte.
There are no commissions or selling fees. A Plus account is all that’s required. Upgrade in your account when you are logged in.
Only unique original artworks may be sold on thearte. No reproductions, prints, posters, giclée prints, editions of digitally created works, etc. may be sold. It is okay to display prints, but you may not price them. Art graphics (e.g. lithographs, screen prints, etchings) may be sold in numbered and signed editions. The edition may be a maximum of 150 and must be stated in the description of the work. Sculptures may be sold in an edition of a maximum of 20.
Digitally created artworks can only be sold in one copy with us. If you sell digital artworks, you need to certify in the description of the work that the work is only sold in one copy. Information about how the delivery is done (as a digital file or printed on canvas, size, etc.) should also be included in the description. Multiple copies of the same artwork may not be sold.
Photos may not be published or sold on our site.
It is also not permitted to publish AI-generated images.
Upload a picture of the work you want to sell. Try to take as clear a picture as possible. You can also supplement with several detailed pictures.
Set a price - the price should be stated incl. VAT, but excl. any shipping and frame (unless the work is already framed). Prices must not be higher than anywhere else where you sell your work. Also state dimensions and other details.
A form will now appear on the artwork's page where the visitor can submit a purchase request. Your artwork will also be displayed under the "Buy Art" section. Purchase requests will be sent directly to your email address and will also be displayed on the site. It is up to you to contact the interested buyer to complete the transaction.

If you want to sell your works directly on the platform, you can upgrade to a Pro account. The customer then pays conveniently by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. We handle the entire payment process and guarantee the transaction, so everyone feels safe. Pro upgrades your existing Premium account.

Get started with Pro right away
Go to your sales page to manage your purchase requests. There, mark the work as sold. Alternatively, you can edit the work and check the box "Artwork is sold" so that it no longer appears as available for sale (do not write "Sold" in the title).
If you sell a work with Advanced, the work will be marked as "Sold" immediately and you will receive an order confirmation by email. You are solely responsible for handling and shipping costs for the artwork to the end customer, or as otherwise agreed with the end customer.
